DIY Fall Decorating Ideas
DIY Fall decorating ideas that are quick and easy!
I want to share with you a few quick and easy DIY Fall decorating ideas that you can put together without spending a lot of time or money!
These ideas are perfect if you’re looking to add something new and unique to your decor for Fall. Or if you’re looking for a quick last minute Fall decor idea!
DIY Fall Pumpkin Floral Arrangement
This is a really easy DIY Fall craft idea. You only need a few things to make this, and you can get as creative as you want! I provided a few ideas to give some examples.
What you’ll need:
- Medium or Large Pumpkin
- Vase, floral foam, or even a clean empty soup can
- Flowers of your choosing
In this example, a soup can was used. Carve the top of your pumpkin out, just as you would to carve a jack-o-lantern. Clean out the inside, removing as much of the fibrous strands and seeds as possible.
Insert your can, vase or floral foam. When adding your flowers, start placing them on the outside edges, with the largest ones first. Then add your smaller flowers from there.
That’s all there is to it! You can use them on your porch, or even as a table centerpiece! I’ve also included a video tutorial that will show you step by step how to put this together!
DIY mason jar lid bands pumpkin
This is another super easy and inexpensive DIY Fall decor idea. This can also be made several different ways.
You can go with the traditional look, using orange spray paint to paint your lid bands. Or you can go with a more unique look.
No matter which design you choose, here are the basics of what you’ll need for this project:
- 20-24 mason jar lid bands
- Yarn, zip tie or fishing line
- Paint color of your choice (you can use spray paint, or craft paint)
- You can also use decorative tape or ribbon to go around the lid bands instead of paint
- Wood, cinnamon sticks or anything else you’d prefer to use for the stem
Once you have your lid bands painted (or not) and dried, run your thread through all of your lid bands. Make sure they’re all facing in the same direction. This will be important for making sure the lids fan out properly.
Tie it as tightly as you can, the tighter the better. Trim off any excess. Fan out the lid bands, and then add your cinnamon sticks (or material of your choosing) to create the stem.
Here’s an example of one made with ribbon instead of paint.
You can also tie your lids together first, and then paint them that way as well!
Add some raffia, or any other decorations you’d like to make it uniquely your own!
